Pakistan Navy War College delegates visit PHL Navy headquarters

Senior military officers composing the 48th Naval Staff Course from the Navy War College of Pakistan visited the Headquarters Philippine Navy (HPN) at Naval Station Jose Andrada, Roxas Blvd., Manila on April 04, 2019

The visit is part of their Foreign Study Tour to the Philippines from April 2 to 6. The 23-man delegation is headed by the commandant of Pakistan Navy War College, Rear Adm. Naveed Ahmed Rizvi. Also included in the delegation are naval student officers from Sri Lanka and Brunei.

Navy Flag Officer In Command (FOIC), Vice Adm. Robert A. Empedrad, received the visiting delegation at the Hall of Flags along with select members of his staff. Afterwards, the Naval Inspector General, Maj. Gen. Nathaniel Y. Casem, presided the PN organizational briefing followed by open forum and socials.
Rear Adm. Rizvi expressed his appreciation to the FOIC for the very warm reception and the meaningful interaction between members of his delegation and HPN primary staff. He further conveyed Pakistan Navy’s invitation for the PN to send students to its Navy War College.

For his part, Maj. Gen. Casem conveyed the PN’s appreciation for the visit and the opportunity to build stronger ties with the students and faculty of the Pakistan Navy War College.
Both navies play a major part in the development and enhancement of relationship between the two countries. It can be recalled that the Pakistani Navy Ship (PNS) Saif (FFG-253) arrived here in December 2017 for a goodwill visit.
