The operations, which utilized Philippine Air Force (PAF) assets, aimed to determine houses, locations, and hideouts frequented by the remaining NPAs in the area.

According to 54IB, the operations also included dissemination of information through dropping of leaflets and other materials in the communities frequented by the NPAs.

“Package of food stuff where also resupplied to the troops conducting sustained Community Support Programs (CSP) in the isolated barangays while more troops were inserted in the different areas for the intensified focused military operations,” 54IB said.

“Definitely, there will be no slowing down with our anti-insurgency campaign, instead, it will be further intensified especially that it is the local populace affected by the CNT persistent presence and our FRs who are clamoring for the NPAs to be out of their communities,” said 54IB commander Lieutenant Colonel Narciso B. Nabulneg Jr.
