Indonesia, PHL holds coordinated naval and air patrols

Barko ng Republika ng Pilipinas (BRP) Emilio Jacinto PS35 participated in the conduct of 2nd Leg of coordinated naval and air operations between Philippine Navy and Republic of Indonesian Navy dubbed as CORPAT PHILINDO XXXIII-19 at Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao area of operations from July 16 to 23, 2019.

CORPAT PHILINDO XXXIII-19 is an annual border maritime patrol between the Philippines and Indonesia in accordance with the agreement way back in 1975.

The exercise aims to continue the enhancement of maritime interoperability of both countries in the conduct of law enforcement at sea, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations and border crossing protections.

The successful participation of BRP Emilio Jacinto in the 2nd Leg of CORPAT PHILINDO XXXIII-2019 manifests the never-ending commitment of the Philippine Government thru the Armed Forces of the Philippines to promote peace and security in the country’s maritime border together with their counterparts from Indonesia.
