President Rodrigo Duterte on August 7 met JSC Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mihkeev and officials of Rostec Corporation at the MalacaƱang Palace.

JSC Rosoboronexport is controlled by Rostec, a Russian state-owned corporation consolidating defense and high-tech industries.

Rosoboronexport is Russia’s sole state-controlled intermediary carrying out foreign trade operations with respect to entire range of military goods.

President Rodrigo Duterte was accompanied by National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Geneneral Carlito Galvez.

Mihkeev and Lorenzana signed a contract for the supply and delivery of RPG-7V grenade launchers to Philippine military at the sidelines of 4th ASEAN Defence Ministers-Plus Meeting in October 2017 in Clark, Pampanga.
