BRP Davao Del Sur attending Chinese PLA Navy Fleet Review

The Philippine Navy is sending landing platform dock BRP Davao Del Sur (LD-602) to China to attend People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy Fleet Review in time for its 70th founding anniversary.

This was confirmed by Navy chief Vice Admiral Robert Empedrad as reported by Inquirer.net.

“Asean Navy chiefs will be coming. I heard more than 30 chief of the Navy are attending the celebration,” Empedrad told Inquirer.net.


BRP Davao Del Sur is the first Philippine Navy ship to attend PLA Navy Fleet Review.

She will anchor off Qingdao City in eastern Shandong from April 21 to 24.
