Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar has said that construction works on Bonifacio Global City (BGC)-Ortigas Center Road Link Project have resumed.
“When completed, it is expected to reduce travel time from Taguig to Pasig to only 10 mins,” Secretary Mark Villar said.
According to DPWH, the P1.6-billion project involves construction of the four (4) lane Sta. Monica-Lawton Bridge across Pasig River connecting Lawton Avenue in Makati and Sta. Monica Street as well as rehabilitation and widening of Brixton to Fairlane Street in Pasig City.
The project also involves a viaduct extending the south end of the bridge to the entrance of BGC.
The link project is expected to be completed in 2021.
