US warship USS America hoists Captain America banner during operation in Southeast Asia

United States Navy America-class amphibious assault ship USS America USS America (LHA-6) has hoisted a Captain America banner during an exercise with the Royal Thai Navy.

USS America was seen flying a Captain America banner, in photo released by US Navy, while conducting group sail with US Navy San-Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Green Bay (LPD 20) and Royal Thai Navy landing platform dock ship H.T.M.S. Angthong (LPD 791) in support of Cobra Gold 2020, February 29, 2020 in Gulf of Thailand.

According US Navy, America Expeditionary Strike Group-31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Team are participating in Cobra Gold 20, the largest theater security cooperation exercise in the Indo-Pacific region and an integral part of the U.S. commitment to strengthen engagement in the region.

America Expeditionary Strike Group, March 15, is in transit with Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group, jointly operating as Expeditionary Strike Force in South China Sea.
