US service members partner with PNP-SAF for delivery of donated medical supplies

United States military service members have partnered with Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Action Force (SAF) members for the delivery of donated medical supplies in Cagayan de Oro.

“US service members, with the support of the Philippine National Police – Special Action Force, delivered 21 boxes of personal protective equipment to the Capitol University Medical Center in Cagayan de Oro,” the US Embassy in Manila said.

The US embassy noted that the donation consists of thermometers, surgical gowns, masks, gloves, face shields, and other equipment to support health care workers in the fight against COVID-19.

“To date, the US government has provided more than Php1.1 billion ($23.4 million) to support the Philippines’ COVID-19 response,” it added.
