US provides PHL with list in support for AFP modernization

Philippine Ambassador to United States Jose Manuel “Babe” del Gallego Romualdez said during a press briefing on March 5 that the United States Department of Defense has provided the Philippines with list of military hardware in support for Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) modernization.

Mukhang kumpleto naman at marami pang dadating na mga kailangan natin na mga armas o whatever hardware that we need from the United States ‘no,” he added.

“So, hopefully nakita na ng Presidente iyon dahil nandiyan na kay Secretary Lorenzana at iyon, that would probably satisfy the President’s concern regarding itong pag-modernize ng ating Armed Forces at marami pang darating lalo na iyong mga helicopter mayroon pa tayong something like ten more Blackhawk helicopters na parating diyan sa Pilipinas within this year,” Romualdez siad.

He also said that US President Joe Biden said recently that he is strengthening US alliances all over the world specially in Asia.

Mutual defense meaning to say puwede tayong sabay kapag mayroon mang problema, mayroon man tayong kalaban na puwede tayong sumabay sa Amerika.”
