US aircraft carrier spotted in San Bernardino Strait in central Philippines


USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76), a United States Navy Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, was reportedly spotted in San Bernardino Strait which separates Bicol and Samar in central Philippines. US Navy Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG-54) was also spotted.

In May, USS Ronald Reagan, forward-deployed to US 7th Fleet area of operations, departed its homeport in Yokosuka, Japan for deployment.

On June 28, Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group started a dual carrier operations in Philippine Sea with Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, as Nimitz Carrier Strike Force.
