Some personnel of future Jose Rizal-class frigate BRP Antonio Luna (FF-151) are scheduled to undergo training at the Defense Conseil International in Toulon, France in September.
The Philippine Fleet said the pioneering crew member of future FF-151, the sistership of BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150), are scheduled to undergo training in South Korea, while some personnel are set to train in France.
Philippine Fleet said the pioneering crew headed by skipper Captain Charles Meric A. Villanueva is scheduled for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training facilitated by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) at South Korea starting August 17, 2020.
It also said that some personnel are “scheduled to attend courses such as Combat Information Center, Tactical Air Control, and Signal Intelligence at the Defense Conseil International in Toulon, France starting next month.”
The Philippine Navy is expecting the delivery of future BRP Antonio Luna in first quarter of 2021.
