Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Debold Sinas has issued a warning to suspects in the death of 23-year-old flight attendant Christine Dacera if they do not surrender.
“This is a fair warning. Surrender within 72 hours or we will hunt you down using force if necessary,” Police General Sinas said.
“We know who you are. Your family must turn you over to the police. Those found to be abetting your escape will also be arrested,” the PNP chief added.
The PNP earlier declared the said case as “solved”.
“For purposes of uniformity in crime reporting, the PNP is guided by existing issuances by the National Police Commission particularly Memorandum Circular No. 94-017 which provides that a case shall be considered “solved” when the following elements occur: (1) the offender has been identified; (2) there is sufficient evidence to charge him; (3) the offender has been taken into custody; and (4) the offender has been charged before the prosecutor’s office or court of appropriate jurisdiction,” the PNP explained.
“In the Dacera Case, all four elements are present, thus the case is considered “solved”,” the PNP said.
