Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa has said that the United States Embassy in Philippines has called him for the processing of his visa.

“Ayaw ko ibalita sana, pero to be frank, to be honest with you, tinawagan ako ng US after nag-usap si President Duterte at President Trump, tinawagan ako ng US embassy na asikasuhin ‘yung visa ko,” Senator dela Rosa said during interview with ANC, July 8.

“‘Pag after COVID daw, mag-report na iyong kanilang mga staff, inimbitahan ako papuntahin doon para asikasuhin iyong aking visa,” the senator added.

“Yes, pupunta ako,” he said when asked if he is going to process his visa.

When asked to comment on criticisms that the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) was put at stake because of his US visa, Senator dela Rosa said “sarado na utak ng mga critics, hindi na kailangan iyan kausapin. Pabayaan mo na lang iyan sila. Kahit anong sabihin ko dito, tingnan mo after this, mamba-bash pa rin iyan sila dahil sarado na ang utak ng mga iyan.”
