Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Joint Task Force National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) requested for the delisting of Army reservist identified as Private First Class Omar S. Pagayawan (Reserve).

Pagayawan was one of the three suspects arrested in a drug buy-bust operation by members of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Quezon City Police District Station 6 at a mall parking lot in Quezon City on June 27.

Seized were P6.8 million worth of shabu, buy-bust money, and a Honda fit motorcycle.

JTF-NCR said Pagayawan is a reservist of the National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group (NCRRCDG) and not an organic personnel of the JTF-NCR.

“He previously rendered voluntary duty in Pasay City during the COVID 19 Pandemic but his duty has been terminated on 15 June 2020,” JTF-NCR said.

JTF-NCR said Pagayawan will be facing several charges like violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Article 177 Usurpation of Authority or Official Functions, and Article 179 Illegal Use of Uniforms or Insignia both under the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines since he is wearing uniform with patches and insignia without authority.
