Senator Ping Lacson said on September 6 that they are pursuing the validation of alleged “good conduct time allowance (GCTA) for sale”.
“So far, we have discovered and will pursue to validate (gather evidence as well) a price range of P50K to P1.5M per prisoner. At least 8 are known to have paid up to P100K each. It is also well organized. Let’s see where it leads us,” Senator Lacson said in a Twitter post.
On September 5, the senator said over DZMM that Senate President Senator Tito Sotto is compiling information.
“Nagko-compile si SP Sotto, may kumontak sa kanya, baka sakaling makakuha ng breakthrough para ma-prove na may bayaran,” he said.
“Remember sa Chiong sisters (case), 3 na-release. May naiwan pa roon. Baka iba roon naiwan sila dahil di nakapagbayad. May efforts along that line… para ma-establish ang fact na may bayaran,” Lacson added.
