Philippine Air Force (PAF) 220th Airlift Wing (220AW) Airbus C-295 tactical military transport aircraft was utilized to perform proficiency flights specifically for the paradrop exercise.

“Prior to the actual flight, an intensive pre-flight briefing was conducted to ensure the safety of the parajumpers,” 220AW said.

220AW said the exercise was also beneficial for aircraft crew’s proficiency in facilitating paradrop and airdrop flights.

“The first day of the exercise was dedicated to address the lapses and differences and find solutions to resolve them. The next training exercise, coupled with thorough planning, has finally led to the successful real paradrop exercise,” 220AW said.
