President Rodrigo Duterte this evening, October 1 departs for his Official Visit to the Russian Federation.
The President delivered his departure speech at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 in Pasay City.
He will visit cities of Moscow and Sochi in Russia upon the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He, along with President Putin and other invited leaders, will speak during the Plenary Session of the Valdai Forum with theme “The World Order Seen From the East” on October 3 in Sochi.
In Moscow, he will attend Philippines-Russia Business Forum aimed at promoting the trade and investment opportunities between the Philippines and Russia.
“The highlight of the trip will be the President’s bilateral meeting with President Putin where they will discuss the state of our bilateral relations and how both sides can further enhance and expand our cooperation in various areas,” Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Amelita Aquino earlier said.
He will also be meeting the Filipino community in Russia.
“They will also exchange views on regional and global developments and other issues.”
