Potential bidders visit Malolos-Clark rail site

“Twenty-eight (28) representatives from eight (8) local and foreign companies participated in the guided site tour for potential bidders of two contract packages for PNR Clark Phase 2 (Malolos-Clark) today, 28 May 2019,” the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.

DOTr explained that the site tour at the vicinity of Clark International Airport are for Contract Packages 4 and 5, comprised of the Underground Airport Station and depot facilities.

The PNR Clark Phase 1 (Tutuban-Malolos) is currently under construction which is divided into two packages.

“A segment of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project, PNR Clark Phase 2 is a 53-kilometer rail line that will connect Malolos, Bulacan to Clark, Pampanga,” DOTr said.

“The Malolos-Clark leg is targeted for partial operations by 2022. It aims to serve 350,000 passengers daily in its opening year, and 1 million passengers per day at full capacity in 2025,” DOTr added.
