The Philippine National Police (PNP) has welcomed around 400 new police recruits during a send-off ceremony today, January 31 at the PNP Transformation Oval.
The police recruits will be training to be part of PNP Maritime Group.
“Earlier, they also took their oath as trainees of the National Police Training Institute (NPTI) since the Philippine National Police took its sole supervision last year,” the PNP said.
This year, the PNP is authorized by the National Police Commission and the Department of Budget and Management to fill-up 17,000 vacancies under its Recruitment Program.
“This is comprised of 10,000 annual regular recruitment quota and 7,000 additional quota to replace retired, deceased, dismissed, AWOL, and other separated personnel,” the PNP said.
