PNP pilots in US to train for upcoming helicopter

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has sent three police pilots to United States to train how to operate the brand new rotary twin engine helicopter ordered from Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., PNP Chief of Directorial Staff Police Deputy Director General Archie Gamboa told Manila Bulletin.

Gamboa added that four policemen who are expert in helicopter repair and maintenance were sent together with 3 pilots.

PNP chief Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa issued the Notice to Proceed for the said procurement in July 2017 with contract price of PHP435,797,548.00.
