The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai welcomed a delegation from the Philippine National Police – Directorate for Police Community Relations (PNP-DPCR) headed by Chief Superintendent Gen. Rhodel O. Sermonia who visited Dubai on 04-07 July 2019, to participate in the Global Police Community Relations (PCR) program.
The Global PCR program seeks to address concerns of Filipinos abroad and their families in the Philippines in terms security, public safety and peace and order.
The Consulate General representatives joined the PNP officers on 06 July 2019 in a tour of the Smart Police Station (SPS) in La Mer, Jumeirah. Dubai Police’s diplomatic affairs section head Colonel Tariq Hilal Al Suwaidi received the team at the SPS, which offers 24-hour fully-automated police services such as reporting of crimes and traffic incidents, filing of labor complaints, payment of fines, and getting police certification.
Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund Cortes and the PNP officers met their counterparts on 07 July 2019 at the Dubai Police Headquarters to discuss each other’s efforts in areas of peace and order, anti-drug campaign, and community engagement. They were also given a tour of the different sections of the Dubai Police Headquarters.
Colonel Al Suwaidi extended the invitation of Dubai Police for more collaborative efforts between the law enforcement agencies, and General Sermonia assured his counterparts of the PNP’s continuous cooperation on matters of mutual concern. DFA.GOV.PH
