PNP gets P1.6-B equipment including vehicles, Israeli machine guns, rifles

The Philippine National Police (PNP) today conducted the Presentation and Blessing Ceremony of newly procured equipment worth PHP1.618 billion.

Among the presented equipment are 387 Toyota patrol jeeps (Toyota Hi-Lux), 59 marked light transport vehicles (Toyota Innova), 6,440 units undershirt vest level 3A to be distributed to different police stations.

For mobile forces and Special Action Force (SAF): 551 IWI Negev light machine guns (mix of 5.56mm and 7.62mm), 313 units IWI Galil Ace assault rifles, 160 base radios, and 3,666 NATO 5.56 magazines.

For maritime groups, SAF, and regional mobile forces: 138 rubber boats.

For administrative, intelligence, and investigation units and offices: 176 unmarked light transport vehicles (Toyota Innova), and 41 unmarked vans (Toyota Hi-Ace).

For EOD/K9: 48 Explosive Detection Dogs.

PNP Police Director General Oscar Albayalde attended the event at NCRPO Grandstand. He conducted occular inspection of the newly procured equipment.
