PNP chief, regional directors witness NCRPO EOD-K9 capabilities

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Debold Sinas together with regional directors of 17 police regional offices visited the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on November 28. Officers from PNP Command Group and Directorial Staff were also present.

During the visit, the high ranking police officials witnessed the field demonstration of NCRPO Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD)-K9 capabilities.

Also during the visit, a tour of the newly blessed Special Care Facilities was conducted.

“The newly blessed isolation facility is made of 5 container vans with ten bed capacity, each with respective comfort rooms, oxygen and air conditioned unit. It is designed to isolate policewomen who are pregnant, positive of contacting the corona virus and are experiencing mild symptoms like difficulty in breathing,” the NCRPO said.

The NCRPO noted that the construction was “envisioned to temporary housed and immediately attend the emergency needs of the police patients while waiting for a vacant hospital to accommodate them.”

“We are optimistic that this strategy will reduce COVID-19 cases among our personnel with the increase in our healthcare capacity. This interventions are still the best way when dealing with COVID-19” Police General Sinas said.
