Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Oscar Albayalde, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) regional Director Police Major General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora led the demolition of a police community precinct (PCP) in San Juan today, July 30.

This is in connection with the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte during his SONA 2019 to clear roads from obstructions to have a better flow of vehicular traffic.

According to Police Major General Eleazar, the said precinct, PCP 6 in West Crame, San Juan City was built in 2005 beside a barangay outpost which was built in the 1980s.

Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Eduardo M. Año marked the start of 60-day countdown for Metro Manila mayors to finish clearing road obstructions on July 29.

“This program to clear all road obstructions in Metro Manila as well as all over the country is long overdue. Hindi na uubra ang mga alibi lalo na’t ang Pangulo na mismo ang nag-utos. Kelan pa ba tayo aaksyon para maibsan ang traffic?” Secretary Año said.
