PNP aviation security group receives Israeli submachine guns

Philippine National Police (PNP) Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP) on January 18 received brand new equipment and inaugurated new facilities at Crash Gate 1, NAIA Complex in Pasay City.

Among the new equipment AVSEGROUP received were 32 units of Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) TAVOR X95 submachine gun.

AVSEGROUP also received 60 units handheld radio, five units base radio, 10 units laptop, five units printer, 80,000 rounds 9mm ammunition, 50,000 rounds cal. 5.56 ammunition and four units of patrol jeep, PNP said.

“Personnel of AVSEGROUP also presented a skills demonstration on crisis management,” PNP said. “AVSEGROUP is currently headed by PCSUPT Sheldon Jacaban.”
