The ceremony marked the beginning of the warship’s construction. The frigate is expected to be delivered second half 2020.

It was reported earlier last month that a committee under the DND approved the Critical Design Review (CDR) of the PHP18-billion Frigate Acquisition Project (FAP)

The CDR will serve as the “bible” of the shipbuilder while constructing the frigates.
