The two Bell AH-1S Cobra attack helicopters donated by Jordan are expected to be operational by the end of December, National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. said as he confirms the arrival of two helicopters.

“The helicopters arrived Tuesday morning and will be reassembled to put rotors and launchers. They are expected to be operational by the end of December,” Esperon said as quoted by Philstar.com.

The two attack helicopters arrived on November 26 at Clark Air Base via an Antonov An-124 Ruslan heavy strategic airlifter.

MaxDefense Philippines was first to report about the arrival of the Cobras.

Last year, President Rodrigo Duterte announced that the Kingdom of Jordan is donating 2 Cobra attack helicopters.
