PHL’s biggest seaport passenger terminal inaugurated

The Department of Transportation (DOTr), together with the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), today inaugurated the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) of the Cagayan de Oro Port.

The government said the facility, 5,625 sqm. wide, strengthens the strategic position of the CDO port as the “Global Gateway to Mindanao.”

It has a capacity of 3,000 passengers.

“Dubbed as the biggest PTB in the Philippines, the 2-storey building contains facilities such as security checkpoint with x-ray scanner for luggage/baggage and body scanner, CCTVs, security office, passenger boarding stations, collector’s booth, public assistance desk, waiting areas, a designated green area, and storage room for equipment and housekeeping, among others,” the government said.
