PHL passport ranks 72nd in 2018 passport index

In the 2018 Henley Passport Index, Philippines was ranked 72nd from 75th last year. This development was welcomed by the Office of the President.

According to 2018 Henley Passport Index, a Philippine passport holder can access 63 countries without visa or visa issued on arrival.

Philippines was ranked in 72nd together with Indonesia and Azerbaijan.

German passport was placed at the top which can access 177 countries.

“We are assuring everyone that our people at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will continue to work towards securing visa-free access of Filipinos to more countries,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque Jr. said press briefing in Cebu City on January 13.
