PHL military buying shoulder fired directional jammers

The Department of National Defense (DND) – Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has launched an acquisition project that will acquire 9 units of shoulder fired directional jammers.

The acquisition project has an approved budget for contract worth PHP33,750,000 as part of AFP Modernization Program Horizon 2. A pre-bid conference is scheduled on October 11.

The deadline for submission of bids and opening of bids is on October 25.

These directional jammers will be used against drones, and will probably be used by the AFP Special Operations Command (AFPSOCOM).

According to MaxDefense, “these directional jammers will be used against drones, and will probably be used by the AFP Special Operations Command (AFPSOCOM).”
