PHL inspects 2 Cobra attack helicopters offered by Jordan

News

Philippine Air Force (PAF) officers who conducted an inspection of 2 Jordanian Air Force Bell AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters being offered by Jordan to the Philippines found that the airframes of the attack helicopters are in good condition and are acceptable with refurbishing works needed.

The inspection was conducted before the end of 2017.

“The results of the inspection done before Christmas by PAF officers confirmed that the airframes and in good working order and are acceptable, and will only need refurbishing works arranged by Jordan (to be paid for by PAF) before delivery,” MaxDefense Philippines said citing an update form sources.

MaxDefense added that “the report was submitted to PAF, and is said to have already been submitted to higher level authorities for their decision.”

MaxDefense noted that since the offer is “part of a larger offer from Jordan, it still remains to be seen if this deal will push through.”
