The Philippine Air Force (PAF)’s second Command & Control Fixed-Wing Aircraft to be acquired under the Second Horizon of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program will be based on Gulfstream G280 jet.

The first Command & Control Fixed-Wing Aircraft is based on an Airbus C-295 aircraft which is expected to be delivered within this month. PAF is already operating 3 C-295 aircraft as medium transports.

“Operational and strategic command and control shall be augmented through the arrival of two command and control fixed-wing aircraft: one C-295 arriving late July, this month, and one G-280 jet arriving by 2020,” PAF commanding general Lieutenant General Rozzano D. Briguez said during the 72nd anniversary celebration of PAF at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on July 2.
