Philippine government transportation officials conducted a meeting with French Ambassador Nicholas Haley and Economic Counselor Laurent Estrade to discuss several proposed infrastructure projects.
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and Undersecretary for Planning Ruben Reinoso attended the meeting.
Among the discussed topics is the budget allocation for the conduct of cable car feasibility study, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said.
Also discussed are the implementation of bus rapid transit (BRT) projects, improvements on Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)’s maritime initiatives, DOTr said.
The Philippine government has a contract with French shipbuilder OCEA for the delivery of four brand new 24-meter Patrol Boats and one 82-meter Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) for PCG.
