A Philippine Air Force (PAF) C-130 aircraft landed at Shenzhen, China to pick up BGI COVID-19 laboratory equipment today, April 21.
“The Philippine Air Force’s C130 plane just landed at Shenzhen, China to pick up the BGI COVID-19 laboratory equipment worth US$2.5M,” the Department of Health (DOH) said. “The laboratory equipment, which can be set up in 7-10 days, can do up to 45,000 COVID-19 tests!”
The said aircraft is expected to touch down at Clark 10:30 pm. “Expected time of arrival at Clark is at 10:30PM,” DOH said.
“The Philippine Government, thru the grant assistance from the Asian Development Bank, secured these equipment to strengthen the testing capacity of the country,” DOH said.
