Philippines unveils Coast Guard marker in Palaui Island in northern PHL

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has said that the Coast Guard marker at the heart of Palaui Island in Santa Ana, Cagayan in northern Philippines was unveiled.

The unveiling was led by PCG commandant Admiral George V. Urasabia Jr..

Palaui Island is also where the Cape Engaño Lighthouse is located.

PCG said that the activity formalized the declaration of Palaui Island as a Reservation Area under Executive Order Number 60 dated 28 July 1903.

“The PCG will further develop Palaui Island to support and further enhance the performance of it,” PCG said.
