Philippines considering Russian military equipment, weapons

In an interview with Russian media Interfax at the sidelines of IndoDefense 2018 in Indonesia, National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said that the Philippine military is considering Russian military equipment and weapons.

“We are considering several types of weapons, including such as attack and transport helicopters, as well as small arms, an additional number of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers (RPGs) and their ammunition,” Lorenzana said as quoted by Interfax.

He also confirmed that the Philippines is considering Russian diesel submarines including the Kilo-class.
