Philippine Fleet deploys 3 Littoral Combat Force crafts

The Philippine Navy’s Philippine Fleet has deployed three patrol crafts under Littoral Combat Force to their respective naval operating forces.

A send off ceremony was held on October 2 at Captain Moya Boat Landing, Naval Base Cavite.

BRP Anastacio Cacayorin PC387 and BRP Simeon Castro PC374 will replace BRP General Mariano Alvarez (PS-38) in Naval Forces Western Mindanao area of operations. BRP General Mariano Alvarez arrived at Naval Base Cavite last September 30, 2019 for drydocking.

BRP Liberato Picar PC377 will be deployed to Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao area of operations.

“With the deployment of these naval assets to different naval forces area of operations, we have taken one additional step forward in the direction of mission accomplishment. Your deployment plays a crucial role in our Navy’s conduct of naval patrol, maritime security operations and securing our territorial waters in your respective AO’s,” Philippine Fleet Rear Admiral Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo said during the send off ceremony.

“Prepare to sail gentlemen and keep on navigating our navy in the course of honorable and excellent service for our country and our people,” Rear Admiral Bacordo added.
