PDEA-PNP operation leads to seizure of P50-M shabu, arrest of Chinese suspect

The joint operation of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday, March 23 in Alabang Zapote Road, Muntinlupa City resulted in the arrest of 3 Filipinos and seizure of PHP50 million worth of shabu.

PNP Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa personally motored to the scene of operation, the PNP said.

PNP Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) director Chief Superintendent Albert Ignatius D Ferro, in his report to General del Rosa, said the drug buy bust operation was carried out at the parking lot near Alabang Zapote Road at 12:00 noon by combined operatives of PDEG Special Operations Unit-3, under Chief Inspector Ramonita Pajanosta, PDEA Regional Office NCR led by Agent Arnold Salasalan, and Muntinlupa City Police Station led by Chief Inspector Merin De Guzman.

The operation was jointly supervised by Ferro and PDEA-NCR Regional Director Ismael G. Fajardo Jr.

Arrested at the Muntinlupa operation were Norodian Guimadel Samplidan, Lady Jane Flores Borja, and Regina Inoncencia San Miguel.

In a follow operation in Makati City, “PNP-PDEG and PDEA agents arrested a Chinese suspect identified only as Mr. Lin, confiscated from him were two kilos of high-grade shabu. His true identity is now being verified through records,” the PNP said.

“According to Ferro, the Chinese suspect was the supplier of the drugs seized earlier in Alabang,” PNP added.
