The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has sent two Parola-class Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRVs), BRP Cabra (MRRV-4409) and BRP Sindangan (MRRV-4407) for maritime patrol and surveillance missions in West Philippine Sea and Sulu Sea.

The two vessels were sent off on November 19 during a ceremony in Palawan.

The PCG said a send off ceremony was held “in honor of the commitment, sacrifice, and dedication of the men and women who will man said vessels.”

“BRP Cabra and BRP Sindangan will be used to conduct Maritime Patrol and Surveillance in the West Philippine Sea and Sulu Sea to ensure safety and security in Palawan, to curb illegal drugs, as well as to counter terrorism and human trafficking in the country,” PCG said.
