PCG deploys vessel for disaster response after Taal eruption

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) today, January 16 deployed Parola-class patrol vessel BRP Tubbataha (MRRV-4401) to augment the disaster response operation in Batangas after Taal Volcano’s eruption displacing residents in towns near Taal.

Onboard the vessel are 100 PCG personnel and relief items donated by the Chinese Coast Guard (CCG).

“Onboard BRP Tubbataha are the donations of the China Coast Guard (CCG) including: 600 pieces of N95 face masks, 50 sacks of rice, 10 boxes of oil, 50 kilograms of sugar, and 45 boxes of food packs,” PCG said.
