Pacquiao is new commander of ready reserve brigade in central Mindanao

Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao, a colonel in the reserve force, has assumed command of Philippine Army 2203rd Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade.

The senator assumed command during a ceremony on April 1 at Headquarters 1002nd Brigade in Malungon, Sarangani.

“As Reserve Force, we wear our uniforms with dignity and honor because we are always ready to serve and protect our land. We do this even if we do not get paid. We do this even if we do not get recognized,” Pacquiao said during the sermony.

“We will keep serving the country with excellence. We will continue the good works that have been started by our outgoing brigade commander, Lieutenant Colonel Jaime C. Yangzon,” he added.

He added that the ready reserve brigade will unselfishly offer time, talents, and even our treasures, for the good of the country and for the benefit of the people.
