No evidence Chinese fishermen are part of militia: PCG commandant

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) commandant Admiral Joel Garcia said on January 10 during a media briefing that there is no proof that Chinese fishing vessels are operating as militia in the West Philippine Sea.

The third Meeting of the Joint Coast Guard Committee (JCGC) between China and the Philippines will be held this week.

Aside from JCGC meeting, the PCG and Chinese Coast Guard (CCG) are also conducting joint exercise. CCG Vessel 5204 is participating in the said joint exercise.
