From China, BRP Bacolod City directly sailed to Davao City to unload the first batch of medical equipment, then to Cebu.

Philippine Fleet commander Rear Admiral Loumer P. Bernabe welcomed the officers and crew of BRP Bacolod City through a non-contact procedure.

“Safety measures were strictly implemented during the arrival ceremony. A simple yet meaningful rite was accorded to the vessel in order to recognize the laudable efforts of the officers and men who undergone the said transport mission,” the Philippine Fleet said.

The Philippine Fleet also acknowledged its partner stakeholder, Pacific Roadlink Logistics Incorporation (PRLI), through their Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Bennett Alvin A. Go for support and generosity in providing container vans used for medical equipment.

The Philippine Fleet said it takes pride and honor as vanguard of Philippines “in this kind of mission that gives opportunity for its personnel and assets to be in the service of the Filipino people and support of the government especially in this time of crisis. The Philippine Fleet is with you all through out and together we will heal as one.”
