Navy welcomes patrol craft after 3 years deployment in Mindanao

The Philippine Navy welcomed Jose Andrada-class patrol craft BRP Felix Apolinario (PC-395) after three years of deployment in Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM).

An arrival ceremony at Captain Moya Boat Landing, Naval Base Cavite was held on December 27. Philippine Fleet Littoral Combat Force Commander Commo. Rey T. dela Cruz led the welcoming ceremony.

“BRP Felix Apolinario had made a significant accomplishments in maritime security operations during its three year deployment. Among which, she successfully participated twice in the Combined Philippine Navy-Royal Australian Navy (PN-RAN) Maritime Security Engagement at Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi, participated twice in the Bilateral Maritime Patrol with Royal Malaysian Navy, and in the 3rd Trilateral Maritime Patrol with Royal Malaysian Navy and Indonesian Navy in Sandakan, Malaysia last 04 to 06 September 2018,” the Philippine Fleet said.

“Truly with this accomplishment, BRP Felix Apolinario represented the Philippine Navy with pride and honor as vanguard of our maritime nation,” it added.
