Navy Offshore Combat Force new commander assumes

The Offshore Combat Force held a Change of Command Ceremony at Suarez Hall, Naval Base Cavite, August 22 as Commodore Caesar Bernard N Valencia passed on the command to Captain Karl A Decapia.

Prior to his command, Capt. Decapia was the deputy commander of Naval Forces Northern Luzon and currently under the new leadership of Commo. Valencia who recently assumed as the Commander NFNL last August 08.

The ceremony was presided by the Commander Philippine Fleet Rear Admiral Giovanni Carlo J Bacordo who gave emphasis on the significant contribution of Commo. Valencia to the Philippine Navy’s accomplishments. Particularly to the successful transfer and commissionship of BRP Conrado Yap PS39, upgrades of the Jacinto Class Patrol Vessels and the Del Pilar Class Vessels, the Upcoming Jose Rizal Class Frigates and the acquisition of Offshore Patrol Vessels.
