Navy logistics support vessel departs for transport mission to Visayas, Mindanao

Philippine Navy logistics support vessel BRP Dagupan City (LS-551), operating under Philippine Fleet’s Sealift Amphibious Force, departed Sangley Point, Cavite City today, June 1 for a transport mission in support to national government’s “Bayanihan to Heal as One Act” programs.

The Philippine Fleet said BRP Dagupan City “is bound to various provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao region for transport mission in support to the Inter Agency Task Force “Bayanihan to heal as one Act” programs as government’s efforts against the global pandemic.”

“LS551 will conduct sealift mission of military personnel, civilian passengers, assorted cargoes and deliver thousand sets of personal protective equipment (PPE), assorted medical supplies and relief goods,” it added.
