Philippine Navy’s Naval Forces West (NAVFORWEST) launched on May 18 a photo exhibit at Robinsons Place Palawan and SM Puerto Princesa City to showcase the nine islands occupied by Philippines in West Philippine Sea.
The said photo exhibit, Kalayaan Island Group: A Virtual Visit to the Philippines’ Western Maritime Frontier, will be open until May 22.
The exhibit is in line with the 120th anniversary of Philippine Navy and 50th anniversary of Navy’s presence in Kalayaan Island Group.
“The purpose of this activity is to instill awareness to the public with regards to each island’s history, topography, potential and beauty,” NAVFORWEST said.
“We encourage all Palawenos to come and visit our photo exhibit at Robinsons Places Palawan and at SM Puerto Princesa City,” it added.
