Navy holds Continuous Maintenance Availability for BRP Conrado Yap

“A team of Naval Shipyard technical personnel was deployed for the conduct of the scheduled Continuous Maintenance Availability (CMAV) CY2021 aboard BRP Conrado Yap (PS39) on 06 January 2021,” Philippine Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NSSC) said January 7.

NSSC explained that “CMAV is a maintenance availability intended for the accomplishment of inspections, condition-based upkeep, and minor repairs of a vessel to ensure its high level of operational readiness.”

“Further, health and safety protocols were adhered to by the team before, during, and after the conduct of the said activity,” it added.

NSSC said the team of Naval Shipyard technical personnel was composed of three military personnel and four civilian human resource from the Planning Division. “The team conducted Pre-Overhaul Tests and Inspections (POT & I) for the hull, machinery, and electrical systems of the vessel,” it noted.
