Sent off ceremony was held July 1 at Kalikasan Park, Naval Station Pascual Ledesma in Cavite City.

“Twenty-six (26) officers and forty (40) enlisted personnel were assigned aboard Philippine Fleet vessels to perform maintenance and repair engineering functions,” the NSSC said.

The deployed officers and personnel are part of NSE personnel who have undergone Hull Machinery and Electrical (HME) and Weapons, Communications and Electronics (WCE) equipment-specific training of newly-acquired vessels.

“This forms part of the Command’s 5-year Capacity Building Strategy which aims to capacitate the NSE personnel to provide improved quality sea systems support to the Philippine Fleet,” NSSC said.

NSSC said it intends to program the training of the second and third batch of NSE personnel within the year.
