Naval Task Force 82 physically, mentally preparing en route to Middle East

While waiting for their mission, members of the Naval Task Force 82 “Oplan Pagbabalik” embarked BRP Davao del Sur (LD602) and BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PS16) continue to do their daily routine as the ships passes through the Malaysian waters.

Naval Task Force 82 commander, Colonel Noel D. Beleran led the contingent in every calisthenics to ensure their good physical condition. While for spiritual nourishment, an interfaith service on Islamic faith conducted regularly with the NTF Chaplain, Cpt. Alnasser L. Kasim.

Moreover, a lecture on International Legal Regimes and Basic Rules on Piracy was given by the NTG Legal Officer, Commander Liza Fidelis F. Cañada to ensure their preparedness on the basic rules of engagement in an overseas deployment.

This is part of the PN support to Joint Task Force “Pag-Pauli” which is to assist the government on its repatriation efforts in the Middle East.

This will showcase the efficiency and readiness of our AFP particularly in the conduct of humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) in time of emergencies not only within our territory but also in the international domain. PHILIPPINE NAVY
